Every year, Allendale United Methodist Church celebrates pride month in June! No matter your sexual orientation or gender identity you are God’s beloved and are welcome here! The people of Allendale commit to support and celebrate same-sex marriages.

We march in the Pride Parade together in solidarity with signs of love and affirmation for the LGBTQ community in the St. Pete area and beyond.

March with us this Saturday in the 2024 St Pete Pride Parade, June 22, 2024!

All participants need to be in line by 5:30 PM and the parade will step off sometime between 6:00-6:30 PM. Our float is expected to be staged in the blue zone near Albert Whitted park. The parade will be running from Albert Whitted Park, north up Bayshore Drive, ending by Vinoy Park.

We recommend parking near North Shore Pool, which is by the end of the parade route, and walking or catching a ride to the staging area.

This shirt was inspired by a celebration of the resurrected Jesus as one who crosses boundaries and appears in the most unexpected places, including as a drag queen. Drag artists lead worship at our Drag Sundays, sharing their gifts in a space that has often been a source of pain and harm for them. This design honors their courage and affirms their place in our community.

In a world where drag queens face hatred, bullying, and legislative attacks, this shirt declares that Jesus is right there with them, offering mercy, love, and healing. We stand with marginalized communities, including drag queens, who reflect the living Christ in their resilience, joy, and grace.
